If a transaction on your PassCash card appears as pending, it means the merchant has authorized the payment but has not yet completed the final settlement.
A pending transaction is not always a completed charge.
When you make a payment, the merchant may:
Request authorization to verify funds
Temporarily hold the amount on your card
Delay final settlement until the order or service is confirmed
During this stage, the funds may be reserved but not fully deducted.
Some merchants take time to finalize transactions after authorization.
Pending status is common for:
E-commerce purchases
Hotel bookings
Ride services
Subscription activations
Certain merchants place temporary holds that remain pending until released or completed.
The merchant may delay capturing the payment until goods or services are confirmed.
Typical timelines:
Minutes to 24 hours (most common)
1–3 business days (standard cases)
Up to 7–14 business days (rare cases, depending on merchant)
The duration is controlled by the merchant and card network.
In most cases, no.
A pending transaction may:
Convert into a completed charge, or
Be automatically reversed if the transaction is not finalized
Only completed transactions represent final charges.
Wait for the merchant to complete processing
Monitor the transaction status in your PassCash account
Check if the pending charge disappears after a few days
Contact PassCash Support if:
A pending transaction remains for more than 14 business days
The same transaction appears multiple times
The merchant confirms cancellation but the charge is still pending
Please provide:
Merchant name
Transaction date and amount
Screenshot of the pending transaction
Pending transactions are a normal part of card processing. They represent temporary authorizations that will either be completed or released depending on the merchant’s final action.
