If you notice two charges for the same transaction on your PassCash card, it does not always mean you were actually billed twice. In many cases, this is related to how card authorizations and settlements work.
Most merchants first place a temporary authorization hold before completing the transaction.
This can appear as:
One pending charge
One completed charge
Once the transaction settles, the pending charge usually disappears.
If a payment fails and you retry it, the merchant may:
Authorize the first attempt
Process the second attempt successfully
This can temporarily show two transactions.
Some merchants send multiple authorization requests due to:
Network delays
Payment gateway retries
System timeouts during checkout
You may see two charges if:
A subscription renewal overlaps with a manual payment
A trial period ends and billing begins at the same time
In some cases, what looks like a second charge may be:
A separate processing fee
A currency conversion adjustment
Look at your transaction status:
Pending + Completed: Usually not a duplicate charge
Two Completed Charges: May require investigation
One Reversed/Pending removed: No action needed
Wait 3–7 business days for pending transactions to clear
Check if one charge disappears automatically
Confirm with the merchant if both charges were finalized
Contact PassCash Support if:
Both charges are marked as completed
The duplicate charge is not reversed after 7–14 business days
You do not recognize one of the transactions
Please include:
Screenshots of both transactions
Merchant name
Date and time of each charge
Transaction amounts
In most cases, double charges are caused by authorization holds or merchant processing delays. One of the charges typically disappears automatically once the transaction is fully settled.
